The temperature must have been around 40º C or more. I was driving from the Foreign Ministry in Lisbon to my property in the Alentejo where Ram Prasad, my Surya and Nisha as well as their puppies awaited me.

On the right side of the road, I saw a skeleton zigzagging, panting with great difficulty under the burning sun, the very image of despair. It was covered by a yellowish-orange colour skin, but there was no fleshy tissue underneath. Just the bones and the skin.

I stopped my big car, a Japanese Nissan Prairie, got out and caught him in my arms. He didn’t resist or try to escape at all. He was completely exhausted and just let himself be carried away.

My next stop was at my mother’s house where I left him because I couldn’t bring him home since he would have to stay with my Doberman dogs that weren’t used to living with other dogs and would not accept him.

To my great joy, despite his horrible appearance, a barely living skeleton, my mother accepted him and said to my father, who was reluctant to keep him in their garden: “We must help those who need it most!” I was very grateful and have not forgotten her expression that I sometimes repeat.

Só stayed at my parents’ garden and a few days later the mason built him an enclosure in a different section of my large farm, separate from my beloved Doberman dogs. And that was the reason why I called him “Só”, a word that means alone in Portuguese.

He recovered and proved to be a dog with a very active and energetic character. I remember seeing him one day jumping and barking desperately in his huge enclosure. I ran to see what was happening to him because he was behaving so frantically and nonstop. To my great surprise, I found a small hedgehog that he had already torn to pieces, his mouth was full of blood and the poor hedgehog’s spines were stuck all over his snout! The hedgehog did not survive and we had to take care of Só for a while because he had wounds all over his body. I was very sad for the poor hedgehog, but Só was a hunting dog and the hedgehog had gotten into his place, so I thought that excused his behaviour…

Só continued his rather solitary but quiet and peaceful life until I moved to another property I had bought near Lisbon, where I had to relocate because my faithful Ram Prasad needed to return to India due to his illness and without him, I could not take care of my dogs because of the large distance between the Alentejo and Lisbon.

Thus, the nine of us moved to the place where I later founded Abrigo, Associação de Protecção à Fauna e à Flora as I told my readers in previous writings.

There, still alone, he stayed in a big enclosure. Being a hunting dog, I suppose he felt lonely and missed his adventures or even the hunting trips with the hunter who must have abandoned him perhaps because of his fear of gunshots. Regrettably, at the time this was a common practice among hunters, at least in Portugal and Spain, and one that has caused indescribable suffering to innocent and defenceless beings who never harmed anyone.

When I was assigned to Galicia, Spain as Consul-General of Portugal I could not bring him. The house I had bought had a relatively large garden but, given his bellicose temperament, I couldn’t possibly keep him together with my two living Doberman dogs who came with me, Barbara Lady of Nisha and Byron Lord Seta of Nisha. Therefore, he stayed at Abrigo with the couple I had found to take care, in my absence, of the more than 30 dogs I had already rescued.

And while I was in Spain, I was told that he lived the rest of his life in peace, that old Raul, the dog carer, was particularly fond of him and then, that he had died. Of course, I was sad but there was nothing I could do and I was extremely busy in my new, demanding job.

I don’t remember the exact dates, but I arrived in Galicia in 1995 and at the beginning of 1998 I started receiving my ITC contacts at a frenetic pace, something that added to my daily work in a very significant way. And then, during one of my DRV (direct radio voices) sessions, I thought of him and asked my communicators how he was.

To my great surprise and delight, the male voice seemed to start speaking with him and I could understand directly “don’t worry Só, we’ll go up in a moment”. I don’t remember if I was recording or not, but perhaps I wasn’t and I regret it.

To be honest, I was stunned because, apparently, they had brought Só “down” to our world when I asked about him and he didn’t feel comfortable in our environment. To me, a normal person of our world, this was truly incredible!

Later, when my Rio do Tempo communicators spoke about their “pure world” and how unpleasant it was for them to be in our world, as I described in my previous article Animal Voices (2) (see: https://www.itcjournal.org/?p=7147 or: https://www.academia.edu/145564748/ANIMAL_VOICES_2_Surya_and_Nisha_my_beloved_dogs_Love_produced_the_voice_),

everything made more sense to me.

Undoubtedly, the reality of the next world remains almost unattainable even for us who are privileged to communicate with it. I am certain that the mental limitations to which we are all prone, precisely as a result of the limitations of our reality, prevent the expansion of consciousness necessary for the recognition and acceptance of the existence of another world. I think this is an important factor in the widespread denial of the existence of another dimension/world, despite the evidence that has been conveyed to us in so many different ways and by so many different agents throughout the centuries.

Indeed, when faced with a situation that does not fit our mental universe, we usually experience a kind of upsetting cognitive dissonance that causes fear and anxiety. The great Ernesto Bozzano already emphasized this situation in his Popoli primitivi e manifestazioni supernormali (1941, 2019).

And in more everyday situations, we can also adopt very short-sighted attitudes. For example, when other humans are attacked, tortured, killed etc., as happened recently in Gaza to cite one place only, we carry on with our lives at the same peaceful pace because, ultimately, it doesn’t concern us… And if those attacks, torture, and killings are directed at non-human animals, the detachment, the lack of empathy and therefore, recognition, is even greater. They are beyond our sphere of thought; consequently, they do not exist.

Só Speaks

From then on, Só became one of my most prolific communicators via the complex DRV. There was a time when practically every contact would start by “É o Só” or “sou o Só…” (it’s Só or I am Só…) and then other voices would intervene and speak with me. Só also seemed to have become a guide for other communicators, namely my family members and my other dogs who were frequently introduced by him.

I can say without lying that I must have recorded a voice claiming to be Só hundreds of times. So many times that I often didn’t even mention it in the recording script I used to make.

I will post a few examples[i].

There is a recording I especially like and I hope that I can find it. The usual Só’s voice says something like “Sou o Só, sou um ‘perro’ (dog in Spanish), penso!” (I am Só, I am a dog, I think!).

I didn’t find this specific audio, but I found others that are also interesting:

AUDIO 1. 2013 06 20_23 É Pai_pai e perro pensam_pensa ORIG+NR

(I performed Noise Reduction and separated the phrases in the second fragment of the audio because this is a noisy recording). I gave it a try and kept only the most intelligible expressions, eliminating all the noise between them. But I agree that, even so, it will be very difficult for a non-Portuguese listener with no training in the language to understand them…

From the original 31-minute file, I copied a couple of clips whose content I find interesting: “Nós somos mor(tos), oh tia!” (we are the dead, oh, auntie!); next: “Sou o Só, pensa (?), não foge, teu cão vive, pensa, penso …” (I’m Só, he thinks (doubtful), he doesn’t run away, your dog lives, he thinks, I think).

The expression “não foge” (he doesn’t run away) intrigues me because Só never wanted to, nor tried to, escape… But this is a characteristic of the anomalous electronic voices. I think this may be an indication that communicators often fail to make their voices heard and therefore, sometimes “the voice does not come through”. If we delve deeper into this statement, perhaps we will be able to understand the extreme difficulties involved in the process of interdimensional electronic communication. A situation that was thoroughly discussed with other operators (Locher and Harsch, 1989, 1992, 1995) and which Carlos de Almeida emphasized right away in his first DRV communication with me (Cardoso, 2010).

At the end of his first conversation, he said: “…. I’m not sure if I received messages from all of them or about all of them but, in future articles, I will publish some of the most emblematic and understandable ones.

My aim is not only to confirm that those we call animals can also communicate with our world but also that the survival of consciousness is a widespread phenomenon common to all living beings. Our ITC communicators, particularly the higher entities who communicated with Adolf Homes[ii] through the famous computer texts, reiterated this principle. I will give one of many examples: “Every living being in the universe is made up entirely of soul. Every soul is an indestructible entity. All the beings you call animals live forever….” (Senkowski, 1999, Italian translation p. 50).

A male voice, which I attributed to Carlos de Almeida, answered me when I asked about plant survival: “Não se esqueça que as plantas são seres do vosso mundo, do outro mundo passam sempre todos para este” (Don’t forget that plants are beings of your world; from the other world [ours] all transit into this world [theirs]”.

When I received this information, I had no idea about the Homes’ computer texts because they were a gift from Professor Ernst Senkowski many years later (See Cardoso, 2017, p. 18, Senkowski, 1999).

The nature of the ITC voices we receive

People often ask me if I believe it was actually my dogs and cats who spoke and not a human in their place. Yes, I firmly believe that it was they who spoke, not a human being, and I will explain the reasons for my conviction.

Firstly, my communicators from Rio do Tempo station specifically confirmed that it was them who spoke and my communicators have never lied to me. Sceptics will say that this is not enough proof and I agree. But we also have no proof that it was a certain human who spoke when other voices speak… Of course, we don’t know for sure, but we believe it was our mother or our father, or whoever, who spoke. The voices very seldom resemble the purported communicators’ voices when they were alive. Indeed, from my experience of many years, I can confirm that ITC voices (recorded audio messages apparently from another dimension), particularly the DRV, rarely resemble the human voices of the people they are supposed to belong to. And there are many reasons for this.

To begin with, ITC voices are synthesized; they are not produced by the human vocal apparatus. Overall, our dear communicators are supposed to be deceased humans who no longer possess vocal organs. Even the high entities that communicated over time, as reported by Professor Ernst Senkowski or Father Dr François Brune, to quote some of the most relevant, had very strange robotic voices, as was the case of the Technician in Luxembourg or ABX Juno in Darmstadt (Senkowski, 1995, 2000; Schäfer, 1992; Brune, 1989).

Years ago, I asked my own communicators from Rio do Tempo station, the following question: Rio do Tempo, how do you produce your voices? The immediate response from a female robotic voice was “Damos-lhe a certeza que mascaramos, fazem-nos um sonograma!” (We assure you that we pretend (the exact word was masquerade in Portuguese), they do us a sonogram!)

AUDIO 6. Sonograma

Audio6 https://www.itcjournal.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/AUDIO-6-fazem-nos-um-sonograma-ORIG.wav

AUDIO 6. Sonograma NR with Anabela

Audio6.1 https://www.itcjournal.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/AUDIO-6-with-Anabela_-Fazem-nos-um-sonograma-PROC.wav

On one occasion, in Luxembourg, the famous high entity that we call the Technician, assured Maggy Harsch-Fischbach that they would “try to synthesize the voice of a certain woman (Margret Mackes, a friend of Maggy Harsch) as closely as possible”. Indeed, her husband immediately recognized her voice but Maggy added, “On other occasions, the voices sounded different from the voices of the people they were supposed to belong to while alive” (Locher and Harsch, 1989, 1992, 1995). Contacts in Luxembourg came mainly through the DRV while the setup of the devices was instructed by higher entities from the next dimension.

As my readers probably know, Professor Ernst Senkowski participated in many of these contacts and thoroughly reported about them in his brilliant book Instrumentelle TransKommunikation (1995, 2000), rightly called the Bible of ITC.

Interestingly, years earlier, the well-known researchers of psychic phenomena, D. Scott Rogo and Raymond Bayless, reported on page 136 of their excellent book Phone Calls from the Dead: “…We collected no fewer than three instances of these record player voices, which constitute even further evidence that the dead can communicate with the living by producing ‘prints’ of their own terrestrial voices over electrical equipment”. I was amazed when I found this sentence in the book aforementioned because it corresponds exactly to what my communicators told me: “… they do us a sonogram”. A sonogram is a voice print electrically produced. But the famous book by Scott Rogo and Bayless was published 20 years before I received the sonogram information from my Rio do Tempo communicators and I had not yet read their book… What could better demonstrate the reality of ITC voices and the cumulative evidence that supports them?

Basic conjectures about the voices

To begin, I must say that I am fully aware that some people, some ITC operators, receive the most advanced form of anomalous voices, usually called DRVs, and others do not. I don’t intend to question that, much less deny it.

But my point is different and I will explain.

What I would like to analyse is the remarkable similarity between the situations I described above, that is, the robotic quality of anomalous electronic voices (DRVs) from their beginnings to the present day.

We are examining phenomena that produce physical results, in our case voices that can be heard objectively and, given their intelligibility, exclude auditory pareidolia. And such results even when produced by totally unrelated agents at different times and places, behave similarly.

This complicates the well-known explanation, often offered by both orthodox scientists and sceptics, that justifies the results as a consequence of the operator’s psychokinetic abilities. Such a theory implies that the many successful independent operators around the world, not connected in time and space, who achieve similar results through different operational means, are endowed with psychokinetic abilities, even if they had no prior evidence of such a gift. In short, it attributes the credit for the results exclusively to the Earth operator, and, in my opinion, this is far from the truth.

However, for the sake of the argument, let’s imagine that we find a way to determine that the merit of the results lies with the operator. In this case, I believe that some aspects of the operator’s character or conduct, including the operating system they use, would be similar and identifiable in the results obtained. However, this has not been the case until now.

For instance, in the situation that we are now examining which concerns the nature of some anomalous electronic voices (the DRV), we see that, in general, they have identical characteristics, namely, they sound robotic. Few do not, but those are exceptions. From their side, the communicators have informed that those advanced voices require a great deal of effort and work on their part. Besides, the operators who received those voices greatly vary from every angle we examine them.

Next, we can also analyse the operating system from the perspective of being responsible for the results obtained. But devices vary from operator to operator, from manufacturer to manufacturer, and from operating process to operating process. They are all different and to my knowledge, no study or comparison of their characteristics and modus operandi has been carried out to date. What we know for sure is that they all vary. There are numerous conjectures about this matter in ITC forums. None have been confirmed. For example, Marcello Bacci’s famous vintage radios were thoroughly investigated and copied worldwide, but none of the many replications produced results similar to Bacci’s.

The same applies to my own equipment and the conclusion is similar. Precisely because I am frequently asked about its characteristics, the frequencies I use and so on, years ago I published a comprehensive technical report on the subject written by an academician (see ITC Journal, 41, 42; and https://independent.academia.edu/AnabelaCardoso3).

And so far, to my knowledge, none of the operators who replicated my equipment obtained results similar to mine.

Consequently, it seems we can rule out the predominant role of the operator, or of the equipment, as a determining factor in obtaining positive results. Which is not the same as saying that they do not influence the results… I believe that both influence the results, mainly the operator, but recognizing the synergistic action between the communicator from another dimension, the operator and the devices, is not the same as saying that the operator produces the results. In fact, our dear communicators discussed the subject, mainly through the extraordinary computer messages reportedly transmitted by higher entities and spontaneously received on Adolf Homes’ computer. I will again quote from them.

“Vibration, a fundamental element to achieve the contact:

… The points of coordination are nothing more than the result of

a vibration which equals ours. From your side a greater psychic

vibration is necessary. Through pluri-dimensional effects, you reach

a higher vibration. The basic information is always correct; it is only

the difference of vibration of the moment that deforms (and obstructs) it. If between two systems there is a too strong diversity of vibration, the possibility exists that the genuine information will be deformed or even falsified. We receive positive vibrations from many experimenters (ITC operators).

We recognize the vibrations which indicate your availability. Feeble

vibrations originated from more than one of the experimenters (in

a group experiment) are reinforced thanks to some of those present

endowed with greater mediumship.

Several experimenters are not in vibration synchronization with their apparatus. Only few of you find – through the instruments – the frequency of vibration suitable to us, which can link together different structures. Vibration harmonization with your instruments renders our contacts possible. Two-way contacts cease with the death of the experimenter because the necessary vibration no longer exists”. (Senkowski 1999, Homes’ compilation, German original p. 76, Italian translation, p. 131, Cardoso, 2017, pp. 28, 29).

To make the text above more explicit, I must add that the concepts of “frequency”, “vibration”, “radiation”, “electromagnetic waves” and some others have nothing to do with the same concepts of our Physics. Our communicators are of a different and subtle nature; perhaps we could call it spiritual, something that cannot be measured or verified by our physical means.

And one more example from Professor Senkowski’s compilation of Homes’ texts: “Our frequency is so short that you cannot perceive it. This has nothing to do with your electromagnetic waves. These light spectra, these frequencies, are bundled and passed through to you at a passing point, and they then appear to you as acoustic signals or possibly also as optical signals”. Senkowski, 1999 (p. 29 original, Italian translation p. 59). I think it is pertinent to recall here the frequent mention that Rio do Tempo voices make of a voice (from their station) that “has already passed” or that “has not passed”, of which I have recorded hundreds of examples. We just saw one of those on page 8, Audio 4.

Back to little Só who proved to be so bright!

At this point of mystory, I invite my readers to listen to the audio clips below, which I have selected from the many that contain the name of Só.

I’ll start by an audio that undoubtedly says “É a voz do Só” (It’s Só’s voice). This is also an original recording but I draw my readers’ attention to the slowness of the speech. Normally, anomalous electronic voices are fast.

AUDIO 7. 2011 06 02_1 Only é a voz do Só ORIG+slight NR

Audio7 https://www.itcjournal.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/07/AUDIO-7_2011-06-02_1-Only-e-a-voz-do-So-ORIGslight-NR.wav

And another original audio clip with similar content, but this time spoken by a male voice. That is all little Só says—once again in a different voice—but it is all he needs to say, because it is the most important message: he is alive after his (physical) death! I think this was the first time I heard my mother’s name in my recordings, although I have several that mention “the mother” (a mãe) or “your mother”, etc.

AUDIO 10. (Sou o Só_É o Só com a mãe, como é que ele fez? Next, a different voice asks: “Como é que ele fez?” (How did he do it?) and immediately the female announcer calls my mother’s name: “Oh, Regina!”

As usual, we could offer different interpretations of this audio, but its main purpose seems to be to confirm the existence (survival) of Só and his ability to communicate with us as well as to emphasize the presence of my mother and, perhaps, her role in the communication process. Alternatively, to call her attention to Só’s achievement.

I have already explained the role my mother played in accepting Só into my parents’ home when I found him dying on the roadside under the scorching sun and was unable to bring him to my property immediately. She was instrumental in his survival and recovery.

Naturally, several different interpretations of the most puzzling ITC voices are possible because nothing in that world follows our rules. And we shouldn’t evaluate what comes to us from the next dimension of life from our own perspective and point of view. That would be arrogant and disproportionate, since we lack a frame of reference. We must never forget this truth, which our communicators have repeated time and again.

The same applies to the different voice recordings I made that contain the same information—for example, Só’s identity. In Instrumental Transcommunication (ITC), the voices are not literal; their purpose is to convey the communicator’s thoughts. The instruments used to accomplish this task—that is, the voices themselves—do not need to be identical to the voices of the beings to whom they supposedly belonged, as might be expected in the case of someone’s identification, for example. Aside from what my communicators told me- i.e., they “copy” the original human voice using a sonogram -we don’t know much more, and this situation alone could make all the difference…

Jürgenson said: “The ‘language of the dead’ is the imagining of the subconscious, which, free from all compromises, regardless of whether they are based on false courtesy, stylistic embellishment or double standards, directly conveys the truth of the feeling. If we want to understand the simple language of the dead, we must be free from the tyranny of our intellect, for, if arrogance and coldness reign, the inclinations of the heart solidify.

Do not expect the dead to preach spiritually….” (Cardoso, 2023, pp. 269-270). I completely agree with Jürgenson’s statement.

Occasionally, the anomalous voices have also mentioned my name in relation to Só, as in the following audio.

AUDIO 11. “Bela, sou o Só!” (Bela, I’m Só!)
